Parent companies rebrand as Green Lizard, in major step forward for green fuels and chemicals ambition

This evolution started in May 2024 with the partnering of North Tees Group and Green Lizard Technologies. It reflects a significant step in the long-term planning for its vision to build and deliver a nationally important green fuels and green chemicals estate on Teesside, where integrated processes will manufacture low-carbon power-to-liquids, powered by nuclear in an end-to-end ecosystem.

The Green Lizard power-to-liquids estate has been undergoing preparation for more than ten years in anticipation of the requirement for net zero green chemicals and fuels, both to support the transition away from fossil fuels and to reignite the UK’s chemical industry.

Part of this preparation has been to engage with partners who align with a shared vision to build a sustainable circular economy in the region to support generations to come. Last year North Tees Ltd merged with a technology partner called Green Lizard Technologies, and today the Green Lizard name expands across the portfolio of businesses.
