Ian Hunter

Ian Hunter

Ian Hunter is Chief Executive Officer of Green Lizard Group, the landholding and estate management company that wholly owns the industrial land in Teesside where the Green Lizard power-to-liquids hub will be built.

His foresight led him to purchase the 500 acre site on the northern banks of the River Tees some twenty years ago with the vision of creating a sustainable green fuels and chemical hub. He began a complex programme of continuous land development that means the site is now perfectly placed to provide tenants with net-zero energy sources in a future-proofed, world-class green energy hub.

Ian has extensive experience in waste management, land development, reclamation and remediation, as a director and leader in several successful and profitable companies.

Over the decades to come, Ian’s overall vision and plan for a fully integrated green fuel and chemical hub will help reindustrialise his native North East, while addressing some of the UK’s most pressing energy priorities such as the mass production of sustainable aviation fuel.
